Volunteer for AIM

You should pursue a career with AIM if you…

1. Are a Christian.

You agree wholeheartedly with our Statement of Faith. As the foundation for all we do, our Christian faith is a uniting factor among volunteers and staff.

Statement of Faith

AIM Statement of Faith

All for God’s Glory

AIM serves to glorify God through Jesus Christ.

(1 Peter 4:7-11; Eph 1:11-14)

The Greatest Needs of All Human Kind

The greatest need for all human kind is forgiveness and salvation through Jesus Christ. He is the way, the truth and the life.

(Rom 5:1-11, 3:21-26; John 4:13-14, 6:22-40; John 14:6; Eph 1:7, 2:1-10)

Jesus Is Our Example for Living

Jesus has compassion for people, addressing their deepest spiritual need (for Him as savior and shepherd), while also addressing physical needs. He sought all people, even the outcast and especially the sinner to be his own, changing their lives for all eternity.

(Matthew 9:35-10:1; John 4:1-26; John 8:1-11; Luke 19:1-10)

Living to Love

The greatest command is to love God, and to love others as ourselves – just as Jesus loves us.

(1 Corinthians 13; Matthew 22:37-40)

Power of the Holy Spirit

It is by the power of the Holy Spirit dwelling in believers, that AIM carries out its work.

(Ephesians 3:20-21; Romans 8:9-11)

The Church

The Church is the body of Christ with Him as head. The church proclaims the Gospel for spiritual and personal transformation. It is through the Church that God cares for the disadvantaged and exploited.

(Ephesians 1:22-23; Colossians 1:17-20; Romans 6:12-14; James 1:27; Ps 82:3-4)

The Bible

The Bible is the inspired Word of God and serves to guide all aspects of the Christian life.

(Numbers 23:16-19; John 1:1-14; II Timothy 3:15-17)

Prayer

It is by prayer that we discern the will of God. Through prayer we seek guidance in ministry and provision for ministry. God desires that we ask, and will provide according to His will more than we can ask and imagine.

(John 14:13; Matthew 7:7-11; Ephesians 3:20-21)

Sexuality

God created men and women as sexual beings, and reserved sexual relations in the context of marriage. Marriage between a man and a woman is a symbol of Christ’s relationship to his bride, the Church, and is a covenant with God. The Bible, as in all of life, is our guide to Godly relationships and sexual conduct.

(Gen 1:27; Rom 1:16-31; Matt 19:1-12)

Dependence on God

All resources belong to God and come from God. He will supply from his unlimited resources all we need to carry out His work.

(Psalm 50:10; Philippians 4:19)
