Two Vietnamese Youth Rescued in Cross-Border Trafficking Raid

At around 9 AM on Wednesday, April 25th, Officers of the Phnom Penh Department of Anti-Human Trafficking and Juvenile Protection Police (AHTJPP) together with AIM SWAT Officers executed a raid at a massage parlor in central Phnom Penh. The raid followed a 2-month long surveillance operation after receiving information about a child sex trafficking criminal organization that was recruiting and transporting young girls from Vietnam to Cambodia to be sold for sex. During the raid, 2 Vietnamese women who were engaged on the Cambodian side of the trafficking operation were arrested, and 2 young minors were rescued.

Two Women Rescued from China Trafficking in Impromptu Raid

At around 9 AM on Tuesday, April 24th, the AIM SWAT Team investigators were having a team meeting at a local café when they noticed 3 Chinese men with 3 Khmer women at a nearby table. Two of the women appeared very poor while the third seemed more affluent. Suspicious of this situation, members of the team situated themselves closer to the group and overheard negotiations between the affluent Khmer woman to send the other two women to China with the men.

2 Minors Rescued in Thai Border Province

An adult male was arrested at a small guesthouse near the Thai border at approximately 7 PM on Tuesday, March 28th by officers from the Anti-Human Trafficking and Juvenile Protection Police (AHTJPP) of Oddar Meanchey province with support from the AIM SWAT Team. The man was in the process of trafficking two girls, aged 13 and 14, to Thailand to sell for sex.

A Survivor Finds Freedom After 10 Years of Being Trafficked
